Sorry for not updating this the last few months but things have been very busy. PRODUCTION OF THE NEW RECORD should finally be starting within the next couple of weeks and things are still looking very promising. There's also some cool shows coming up at THE GOLDHAWK in HOBOKEN and at various venues in ASBURY PARK (two of which are ALL AGES), so check out the shows page of this site and mark your calendars.

Thanks to everyone who has been making it out to the shows recently. Don't forget that this Thursday I'll be sharing the stage with RICK BARRY AND THE MOURNING AFTER as well as performing a set by myself. JOANNA BURNS has just been added to the bill, and you can expect a few special guests as well to be jumping on over the course of the night. This is bound to be yet another great HEY COLE! PRESENTS event in ASBURY PARK.

Things have been really busy the last couple of weeks and I'm excited to say that I'll be returning to NEW YORK CITY on September 6th to play PARKSIDE LOUNGE again. If you can't make it to the show in the city, then come and check out THE SAINT on September 14. I'll be playing on the same bill, and also sharing the stage with RICK BARRY AND THE MOURNING AFTER. We will each play a set of our own and then we're going to get on stage together, maybe with some special guests. It's going to be a one-of-a-kind experience so don't miss it. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the tremendous turn-out at THE STONE PONY last week, and to all of you who called in to "OVERNIGHT SENSATIONS" to request songs and participate in the show. The response has been really good lately. You guys continue to be very supportive and don't think it goes unnoticed. See you soon.

First of all, thanks to everyone who made it out to THE SAINT in Asbury Park, or to my first-ever NYC gig at PARKSIDE LOUNGE last week. We had a really good time at both shows. Next up on the live music agenda is an in-studio performance, LIVE ON WRSU 88.7FM's "OVERNIGHT SENSATIONS" on August 6. Two days later, on August 8, I'll be making my debut at THE STONE PONY in Asbury Park, one of the most legendary clubs in the country. Check out the "Shows" section for more details on these. REHEARSALS for the new album have officially started and everything is taking shape. The songs are becoming more and more dynamic and it's going to be great to get them recorded like this. As you may have already heard the show at INDIGO COFFEEHOUSE on the 21st has been cancelled. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to play that night, but Indigo is in the process of finding another performer for that night and I'll be back at Indigo again soon. On the brighter side I'll be playing THE SAINT the following week on June 28 with APRIL SMITH AND THE GREAT PICTURE SHOW, who are a fantastic band from the area. It's going to be a great night, brought to you by HEY COLE! PRESENTS, so make sure that you can come! It's looking like recording for the new album is going to be starting soon, so stay tuned and I'll keep you posted. Thanks......

Haven't updated this in a while, but there's a whole lot going on. I recently booked a spot at BE GREEN JUICE BAR in ASBURY PARK as part of THE WAVE GATHERING. This is going to be a huge two day festival with tons and tons of talented artists playing all over Asbury Park. It's another one-of-a-kind thing so it's your loss if you miss out on seeing all these great bands in one place. Even if you don't see me...go and support the local music scene and Asbury Park. I'm also playing next Friday, the 12th, at INDIGO COFFEEHOUSE again. It's going to be a great show, so come check it out and bring your mom for Mother's Day. Mom's love me. Last thing is that I've been busy writing and mapping out what will eventually become my first RECORD. I'm still in the process of figuring out all the where's and who's of how I'm going to make this happen, but it is going to happen, and that's the important thing. I'll be playing at a low-key folk-music gathering in a very intimate room at RAMAPO COLLEGE tonight. From what I hear there's gonna be some real cool music going down, with some really great folk musicians from all-over. Don't confuse it with the open-mic that's going to be happening downstairs (although I'm going to try and do the double-header and play at both).

Thanks to everyone who made it to the WRITERS IN THE RAW show the other night. It was a very full house at THE SAINT, so I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to most of you there. But again, thanks a lot for coming, it was a very cool and unique experience. Stay tuned, I'm in the process of booking some more shows for the spring. See you at the next one....

I've recently confirmed my spot at "WRITERS IN THE RAW: HOMEGROWN SERIES" at The Saint on March 11. They're expecting the show to sell out so make sure you get there early. This way you get in. The doors open at 8 PM and the music should start around 9. I'm going to be in the first set. The way it works is...I'll be up there with a few other songwriters and we alternate songs, share stories, talk about music, etc. etc. Then a second set of songwriters get up there and do the same thing at 10:45. The idea is to get artist interaction happening in front of an audience, which is a cool idea, and something that I've never done before on this scale. Because of the uniqueness of the format of this show, it seems like this may be a one-time kind of thing for me, so come down if you can. As of right now this is my last gig for a little while (besides popping up around the usual places), I'll let you all know if anything else comes up. In the meantime, there is a flyer at the bottom of the "Propaganda" page if you'd like to help promote.

Big thanks to everyone who came to THE SAINT last night. All the other performers played great and I think everyone had a really good time. Looks like there's a little bit of a break in full shows for a while, but I'll be around.

For those of us living by the days, it's Valentine's Day. Isn't it? Well don't get to hung up about Valentine's Day or anything. Come to THE SAINT tomorrow night in ASBURY PARK. 8 o'clock. I recently finished the DEMO CD I've been mentioning for a while now. It consists of 5 songs (demo quality), but it's enough to get the songs across. Some of the songs are available for download on the site which I would recommend because their quality is lowered if you stream them. If you'd like a CD, they will be available at my shows. If you can't wait or make it out, then just email info@anthonyfiumano.com and I'll get one out to you. It didn't cost anything to make the CD so they're free, althoughI might have to eventually charge for shipping and handling. I will eventually be recording (possibly some of these same songs again) with a band in a much higher quality, but there's no concrete plans yet. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the songs.

I've updated the shows in the live section of the site. I have two shows coming up this week (INTERNET CAFE on Tuesday and BERKELEY CARTERET on Friday). I'd also like to announce that I'll be playing at INDIGO PLANET RECORDS' showcase on February 15. It's really going to be a lot of fun. I've also been recording, just a short acoustic demo, but it will be available soon either at my shows or off of the site. Stay tuned.

Just wanted to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Lots of good stuff coming up in 2006. Expect new songs at my next few shows, I got a bunch of them that are finished or very close to it. I'd also like to remind everyone that I'll be at SICA on January 7. This is going to be my first time playing there and the entire line-up is very talented so make sure you come for the whole thing.
